We are often presented with multiple circuits laid out on a manufacturing panel with an inefficient use of laminate material. The Momentum engineers can improve this material use considerably.
Separating circuits with route gaps and internal waste strip when there are no overhanging components is wasteful and unnecessary as illustrated in the example shown.
By removing the external waste material on the leading and trailing edge of the board, and reducing the internal gaps it is possible to reduce the material use considerably.
It is also then possible to further reduce the material used if you choose scoring to separate the circuits rather than routing. This also has the added advantage that there is no need to hand finish areas where break-out pips are removed.
